Simply pick up the "mouse" with the cursor and drag it around the chart. Follow the directions indicated by the four red arrows surrounding the viewing window. When they all go out, the plotting hole in the middle of the viewing window is directly over your position on the chart.

Notice how the illuminated display continuously shows latitude and longitude referenced by the plotting hole. In addition, the charted latitude and longitude need not be aligned vertically and horizontally with the chart-table.
